Belief
With people across the world and across the ages, there is one common factor that binds one to another and groups of people to other groups ~ a common belief. Christians congregate with other Christians, Muslims with other Muslims, and Spiritualists with other Spiritualists. There is a comfort level associated with this common belief. There is no fear of judgment or criticism because we congregate with those that think the same as ourselves.
Here at Angel Heart we believe in the core belief of Good in the Universe, whatever name you choose to attribute to that Good. It has been shown that the common thread between the populous of the world and their separate religions is the belief in a higher power that encompasses goodness in all of its meanings.
Spiritualist, Protestant, Catholic, Buddhist, Taoist, Pagan, Wicca, Confucian, Hindu, Islam, Jewish, Shinto, Sikh, Zoroastrian, Atheist or Agnostic, or whatever your beliefs may be, we welcome you into our family to serve the greater good toward the growth of all and the universe as a whole.
Living Deeply
Life is too precious and too fleeting to not enjoy. Life is so short and the wonders that abound in this world and throughout this Universe are too spectacular to miss. Living deeply means to live each day to the fullest as if it were your last, to make sure that you can catch the most of every moment. One of our favorite sayings is:
“Life is not a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty, and well-preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming, "WOW! What a ride!"
Laughing and Loving
As much as it is important for us to live deeply throughout our lives, something even more important is to always find time throughout our hours, days, weeks, months and years to laugh and love.
The sound of a roaring laugh can be far more contagious than any yawn, cough, sniffle, or sneeze. Humor and laughter causes a domino effect of joy and amusement, and can set off a number of positive physical effects. A good hearty laugh can help reduce your stress level, lower your blood pressure, elevate your mood, boost your immune system, improve how the brain functions, protects your heart, brings you closer to others, will bring you instant relaxation, and just plain makes you feel good.
Love, the eternal answer, is such an indescribable feeling. Everyone experiences love in so many wonderful ways. One common thread with all who encounter unconditional love, knows the overwhelming sense of warmth when love is encountered. Unconditional love can be found in the simplest of things: the glance of your faithful pet, the smile on a stuffed animal, or the happy tears of a parent who is watching their daughter start a new life with her new love.
When you step through the doors of our Chapel, that warmth will flow over you and the sounds of resounding laughter in our fellowship hall after services and events can penetrate the hardest of shells.
Support and Care for Each Other
The tie that binds is the feeling of family. Family is there for you when you are feeling down or up, sick and well, sad and happy, or tired or raring to go. Family supports and cares for you whenever you need it.
When a brother or other family member is in trouble we stand by their side. When a friend needs to be told they are wrong or just being plain foolish, a true friend is there for them to tell them. Morning, noon, evening and even in the middle of the night, family is there for you twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and for your entire life.
The family here at Angel Heart is such a close-knit family we know when their tapestry comes unraveled, a new thread is woven in, and we are there to celebrate every waking moment with them. Nothing makes us happier than hugging to console or congratulate, hugging to say “Hello!” or, just hugging because someone needs one. Hugs are always in stock on our shelves.
Celebrate Together
The special moments and the minor celebrations throughout our lives should be shared and shown to the Universe for all their wonder. Smiles, hugs, congrats and abundance flow at celebrations, and boy do we like to party! Who doesn’t like a party? Life is meant to celebrate. The miracle of existence is such a wonderful thing; even the slightest drop of dew is a cause for celebration.
Each new member is celebrated with a membership service when they make the decision to join our family. Birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated with balloons and cake every month. And we celebrate the mere fact of coming to congregate with each other each and every Sunday. We invite everyone in shouting distance to hear our celebrations and songs of exaltation. Please give us another reason to celebrate you and your magnificence.
Uniqueness of Each of Us, Strengthens All of Us
Nature is so precise in her creation that each and every snowflake that is formed and that falls from the skies is a unique creation. Put a bunch of those unique creations together and you get one strong whopper of a winter storm! The uniqueness of each snowflake put together strengthens the whole of that storm.
Not even your exact clone will be the same person that you are, as that new entity will have a different set of circumstances than the ones you have already encountered and will face down the road. You are, in every conceivable way, a unique individual. The old adage of family unity is that you may be able to beat one person down, but against a family you can never win.
Each and every person in this Chapel is special, shining and unique. One of us may come across a problem in our lives, but with the strength of our family behind them, they come out of their lessons and trials stronger and even more special and unique.
Forgiveness and Love
When the end of this trip comes we all hope that the “answers” will be had for all to realize. As for the meaning of life, that is of course a very subjective question. The answer is different for each of us. Most agree that the ability to forgive others and the ability to love is the meaning of this existence. That may be for most of us. Some are here to learn lessons that they have yet to learn, and some are here to teach others the lessons they have learned.
If we learn nothing other than to have the ability to forgive others and the ability to love your fellow man for who they are, faults and all, we are truly wiser than when we came to be here.
This Chapel
At Angel Heart, we are a tight-knit family of multi-faith souls who have been looking for a quiet place to congregate and celebrate the goodness in life. Whatever your faith or belief, you are welcome in the positive light that surrounds this Chapel. We will even allow you to hold a dual membership with another Church if you desire to join our happy family.
We offer a wide variety of services including our normal Sunday service from 10:00 am until around Noon, our Psychic Saturday fundraising event on the first Saturday of each month, and our food cupboard. There is always something interesting happening here.
We have been around for just a short time, since October of 2003, but continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Starting with a handful of parishioners we have grown to a membership of many, and we are welcoming more every month.
